Prayer Ministry
This group of individuals provides the prayers of the people during worship. Sensitivity, pastoral awareness, and a willingness to lead the congregation in prayer are the key requirements. Instruction and useful materials are available. Please see the Rector if you feel called to this ministry.
Readers
Lesson readers make an important contribution to worship. If you enjoy reading and wish to be included in this ministry, please contact the Parish Office.
Music Ministry
Our Music Ministry provides the musical leadership for Sunday Services and special Services. If you like to sing, or can play an instrument, and can commit to practices and Sunday mornings (even just one or two a month), please consider joining our Senior Choir, Youth Choir or men’s chorus, the Cornerstones. Please see the Organist if you would like to share of your musical talents and abilities.
Altar Guild
The work of the Altar Guild is to prepare the church for all Services, particularly the Altar, communion vessels and linens, as well as the Chancel flowers. This group also decorates the church for festivals in the Christian year, for weddings and funerals, and shares the weekly duties of preparing for the Eucharist and Baptisms. Contact the Parish Office if you would like to contribute to this ministry.
Eucharistic Ministers
The privilege of administering the chalice to communicants is assigned to parishioners by the Rector and Vestry under the authority of the Bishop. Individuals are nominated by the Rector in consultation with the Vestry and the license to perform this function is granted by the Bishop.
The Servers Guild
This group of young people, mostly post-Confirmation age, are committed and dedicated in service to God at His Altar. These young people assist the Ministry Team throughout many aspects of the Liturgy during Sunday Services. If you would like more information about this group, or would like to be a part of this ministry, please speak with the Rector.
Greeters
The responsibility of this growing group of committed members is to ensure that everyone on a Sunday morning receives a warm welcome at the door and directs newcomers to the Sidespeople Team. Contact the Parish Office to become a part of this ever important ministry of hospitality.
Sidespeople
The Sidespeople ensure that everyone on Sunday mornings receives an Order of Service, Bulletin, and other information as they enter our worship space. They provide assistance throughout the Service if required. Contact the Parish Office for more information about this ministry.
